Pulse Achieves Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program from EHNAC and DirectTrust

Direct Trusted Agent accreditation ensures adherence to data processing standards and compliance with security infrastructure, integrity and trusted identity requirements

Kansas City, MO – June 5, 2018 – Pulse Systems, Inc., a Revenue Cycle Management (“RCM”) company with advanced medical billing services and technologies, announced today it has achieved full accreditation with the Direct Trusted Agent Accreditation Program (DTAAP) for Health Internet Service Providers (HISPs) from DirectTrust and the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). Direct Trusted Agent accreditation recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions, and ensures compliance with industry-established standards, HIPAA regulations and the Direct Project.

Through EHNAC’s comprehensive third-party review, Pulse was evaluated in areas of privacy, security, and confidentiality; technical performance; business practices and organizational resources as it relates to Directed exchange participants. In addition, EHNAC reviewed the organization’s process of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that the organization meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards.

“EHNAC and DirectTrust recognize the unique business and technical requirements of this niche and have developed three distinct accreditation programs that ensure a secure and unyielding trust framework for all health care stakeholders,” said EHNAC Executive Director Lee Barrett. “With the undeniable need in the healthcare marketplace for guidance and accountability on the secure and interoperable exchange of PHI, we congratulate Pulse who has established and upheld a superior level of trust for their stakeholders by achieving the highest standards in privacy, security and confidentiality.”

“Pulse is committed to improving the security of healthcare data and we’re honored to be formally accepted as an EHNAC HNAP-EHN accredited organization,” said Chris Walls, President and CEO of Pulse. “This distinction helps us remain highly competitive in the healthcare market by assuring our clients that all Pulse solutions are secure and meet industry and regulatory requirements.”
