Kansas City, MO – October 26, 2018 – Pulse Systems, Inc., a leading Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) company, announced today it has achieved full accreditation with the Outsourced Services Accreditation Program (OSAP) for OSAP-Data Center from the Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). EHNAC’s OSAP accreditation recognizes excellence in health data processing and transactions, and ensures compliance with industry-established standards and HIPAA regulations. Through this OSAP accreditation, other EHNAC candidates who use Pulse will not have to pay for additional site visits to the organization.
Through EHNAC’s comprehensive third-party review, Pulse was evaluated in areas of privacy and security, technical performance, business practices and organizational resources as it relates to outsourcing policies and procedures. In addition, EHNAC reviewed Pulse’s process of managing and transferring protected health information and determined that the organization meets or exceeds all EHNAC criteria and industry standards. Through completion of the rigorous accreditation process, Pulse demonstrates to its constituents, adherence to strict standards and participation in the comprehensive, objective evaluation of its business.
“As the outsourcing of various services continues to meet a need for healthcare organizations in an ecosystem with continuously changing mandates and regulations, it’s a vendor’s ability to securely handle protected health information (PHI) with integrity and effectiveness that continues to be a critical requirement for all associated business partners,” said Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC. “To be classified amongst the EHNAC OSAP-accredited organizations, Pulse has dedicated time and effort to meet a high standard in the areas of privacy, security and confidentiality of PHI as it relates to consent, authorization, authentication, access and audit procedures. Pulse has established themselves among an elite group of trustworthy partners, and for that we congratulate them.”
“The EHNAC OSAP-Data Center accreditation demonstrates that Pulse is a HIPAA compliant hosting provider who follows the highest data security standards,” said Lana Chubakha, CEO of Pulse. “Our clients can be confident that Pulse solutions follow industry-established standards and HIPAA regulations in the exchange and processing of their healthcare data.”
