Through the Pulse PQRS Registry users have the ability to specify which measures to report, and selected measures are applied against the Pulse database to ensure the provider and applicable patients meet all measure parameters.Key features and benefits of the Pulse PQRS Registry include:

  • Convenient user interface
  • Registration for all providers to the PQRS provider registry
  • Assistance with identification of measures and qualified patients
  • Real-time reporting and performance tracking
  • Easy, seamless data submission to CMS

PQRS was established as part of The Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006 (TRHCA) as a voluntary bonus payment for eligible professionals for reporting PQRS measures to Medicare beginning July 1, 2007. The incentive payments were phased out in 2014, and providers must now report their PQRS measures to avoid penalties starting in 2015.
