Award highlights Pulse’s commitment to clinical quality and clients

Wichita, KS, April 12, 2016 – Pulse Systems, Inc., an industry-leading provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management e-prescribing, Billing and Collections, and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solutions, was recently recognized with the Surescripts 2015 White Coat of Quality Award. This is the fifth consecutive year that Pulse has earned the award, which highlights its commitment to ongoing data quality improvements in electronic prescribing and prescription management.

“We are proud to earn this recognition yet again as it highlights our unwavering commitment to doing what’s best for our clients,” said Jeff Burton, President and CEO of Pulse Systems. “By delivering continuous improvements in all our solutions, we strive to create the highest quality products for our providers.”

Pulse’s e-prescribing solution, PulseRx 5.0, is a complete medication management solution designed to simplify medication management, streamline practice workflow and increase productivity, allowing providers to quickly and easily generate prescriptions, manage a patient’s medication records and allergies, review benefits and formulary information, and process refill requests easily and accurately. According to Surescripts, more than half of all prescriptions are delivered electronically, making accuracy and accountability in e-prescribing a critical part of a patient’s plan of care.

“We are honored to recognize these organizations for their leadership and persistence in advancing e-prescribing quality industry-wide,” said Ajit Dhavle, Pharm.D, MBA, Vice President of Clinical Quality at Surescripts. “We can realize greater value by working collaboratively and leveraging technology to improve e-prescribing and connect the entire healthcare ecosystem.”

Established in 2010 as part of Surescripts’ Quality Management Program, the White Coat of Quality Award commends organizations that are actively focused on improving e-prescribing accuracy, completeness and safety. Pulse met stringent requirements including measurement and reporting of e-prescription content quality, implementation of software updates, and ongoing end-user training on how to best use their e-prescribing system to earn this year’s award.
